We are Karen and Ross Hopmans of Brightspot Dalmatians (CKC Registered) in Ontario, Canada and we are Dalmatian Breeders.  Our commitment is to breed healthy, quality puppies as loving family pets and top contenders in the show, obedience and performance rings.

We have Dalmatian puppies every 2 or 3 years.

Brightspot was awarded the Pedigree Breeder Award for Dalmatians in 2000.  We have produced 7 litters and 47 puppies and all but four of our puppies are bilateral hearing, with no deaf.

To date we have produced 14 homebred Champions (including 6 Am/Can Champions).  Brightspot Dals have earned many Group Placements, have been awarded Winners and Sweeps Winners at Specialty Shows in the US, have earned the CD and other obedience title in both countries (including many High in Trials), have earned Agility and Rally titles, and have been awarded the CGC (AKC Canine Good Citizen) and CGN (CKC Canine Good Neighbour) titles.

Although many Brightspot puppies are or have been show, obedience, performance or therapy dogs, they are all first and foremost family companions.  Many of our puppies live with another Brightspot Dalmatian which we feel speaks to the temperament, health and overall quality of the dogs from our breeding program.
